Booking FAQs
How do I book?
Via book-a-court, on our website.
What are the booking rules?
Members and the general public are allowed to book one court per day, for one hour.
Members can book up to 3 days in advance, the public can book 2 days in advance.
Light fees are charged for all bookings after sunset.
The general public are charged a per half hour fee. Members do not pay court hire.
Can I cancel?
Yes you can cancel at any time You will be refunded if you cancel earlier than 48 hours before your booking.
What if rain affects my booking?
If you are unable to play, you will be refunded, as long as you cancel the booking. After cancelling, please email us to request a refund as this will need to be manually applied if you have cancelled less than 48 hours prior.
No shows
The club takes “no-shows” seriously as court access is very limited. (Please see code of conduct). No shows are monitored and repeated no shows will result in disciplinary action.
I’ve booked via Tennis Australia, and it says “no booking”, but has charged me.
This is a glitch. You can book via the PHTC website. The Tennis Australia booking will not work. You will be refunded after a couple of days (this is the way the “stripe” billing software works. Keep an eye on your account and call us if the refund does not appear in 3 days.)
Access, lights, clubroom
I have a booking. How do I get in?
You will receive a PIN when you confirm your booking. Punch this into the ELECTRONIC keypad (not the manual keypad) on arrival at the club. You will hear a beep and the gate will unlock. This will activate the lights if required.
I can’t work my PIN, what do I do?
Have you got the right day and time? Are you at the right club? Are you using the right PIN? Are you using the electronic keypad? If you have tried all this, please call us.
The lights are not going on, what do I do?
Have you entered your PIN on the electric keypad? Have you got the right booking? If this fails, please call us.
